  1. Quality & guarantees for faulty goods

6.1 All bikes provided by The BikeBuddies are second-hand bikes and are equipped with a bike bell, front wheel hand brake, and light. All bikes are checked on safety features before handing out. Safety features include: overall stability, coaster rear brake, light, the tension of the chain and the profile of the tires.

6.2 Since, the bikes are second-hand, the bikes do not match the attractiveness of a new bike. However, the mechanical quality of the bikes are high.

6.3 When the customer let us know the bike has a mechanical problem (which is clearly not the customer’s own fault) within 14 days after receiving the bike, we’ll provide the customer with a suitable solution. The bike can be repaired or we provide the customer with an alternative bike.

6.4 Prior to receiving a warranty repair, the customer must contact the company. The company will determine whether the bike will be repaired at the company’s mechanic, or if the customer is allowed to get a repair from an external mechanic. Receipts must always be provided by the customer if the company is to refund repair cost from an external mechanic. The company reserve the right to refuse a refund for a repair, if the customer cannot provide a receipt with details about the external mechanic.

6.5 After the end of the fourteen-day period we can’t guarantee a new bike or any money in return.

  1. Responsibilities

7.1 The BikeBuddies will not be held responsible for any loss, incidental or consequential accidents or damage whatsoever caused while our customer used our bikes and rental services.

7.2 The BikeBuddies are not obliged to store information of bicycle frame numbers after the bike has been purchased and picked up by the customer. It is the customer’s responsibility to note down the bicycle frame number after having bought a bike.

7.3 When receiving the bike, the customer has time to check the quality of the product and test drive the bike. After accepting it, the customer is in full ownership of the bike. The BikeBuddies cannot be held responsible for any of their customers actions after leaving our pick up location.

8.2 The BikeBuddies are not obliged to buy back the customer’s bicycle, if the bike is bad condition after the exchange period.

8.3 If the company chooses to buy the bike back, the price is generated from the value of the bike. Normally the fixed buy back price for the bike is DKK 400. The customer is free to choose whether he/she wants to sell their bike for that price.
